OLAF REINART


With deep sorrow we announce the passing of Olaf Reinart on January 27, 2024.



Olaf was predeceased by his parents, August and Salme, and brother, Ilmar Reinart and his beloved wife of 62 years, Patricia. His son, Andrew (Kathleen) are left to mourn his loss. He also leaves behind extended family.



Olaf was born in Tallinn, Estonia. His family fled to Sweden in 1944 before settling in Canada in 1950.



Olaf had been a dance instructor for the Arthur Murray Dance School. He met his bride to be at the YMCA Dance in the mid-1950s, sweeping Patricia off her feet and into his heart. Olaf then graduated from the University of Manitoba becoming a teacher of Commercial and Graphic Arts at Sturgeon Creek regional Secondary School in the early 1970s. Prior to, and during is teaching career, he also owned and operated his own business, Olaf Reinart Concepts, Copy and Graphics, a graphic design company.



Olaf had many interests and hobbies. He was a nature enthusiast and outdoor sportsman who enjoyed hunting with his brother, and late his son. Olaf and Andrew also spent many occasions target shooting for sport.
