Born on August 12, 1938, in The Pas, Manitoba, Deanna Tremblay passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at the Brandon Regional Health Centre.
Deanna dedicated much of her life to the service industry, contributing her hard work to the Prince Edward Hotel, Twin Pines, and Kam Lung Restaurant.
She was a devoted family woman, always ready with a helping hand. Her love for her family knew no bounds, and she cherished every moment spent sharing the joys of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Every dog and cat Dee Dee owned had a special place in her heart. Their companionship brought her joy and comfort throughout the years.
Dee Dee found pleasure in collecting a variety of items, from antiques to stamps, coins, and puzzles. She was an avid reader and gardener.
She followed sports with great enthusiasm. Whether it was cheering on a golf match, her local team, the Brandon Wheat Kings, or supporting her favorite NHL and CFL teams.
Dee Dee will be remembered not only for her hard work and dedication but also for the love, laughter, and warmth she brought to the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.
Predeceased by her husband Maurice; parents Firmin and Helena Ducharme; sister Linda; brothers Leonard and Dennis.
Dee Dee will be dearly missed by her sons Dale (Sandra) Smith, Terry (Gaye) Smith and Barry (Tracy) Tremblay; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister Judy (Louie) Gareau; sister-in-law Grace Ducharme; brother-in-law Ray Leach, nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
Donations in memory of Dee Dee may be made to the Brandon Humane Society, 2200 17th Street East, Brandon, MB, R7A 7M6.
The family would like to thank the wonderful team at the Brandon Regional Health Centre and Assiniboine Centre.
