John Johann Pankratz, aged 92, died peacefully on February 5, 2024 at Donwood Manor Personal Care Home in Winnipeg. John was born July 28, 1931 to Johann and Mary (Engbrecht) Pankratz in Truax, Saskatchewan.
John married Helen Dyck in 1953 then farmed and raised his family near Justice, Manitoba. He moved to Winnipeg in 1983 and worked at Donwood Manor until retiring in 1996. Helen passed in 2014.
John married Agnes Dyck in 2015 and enjoyed a warm and supportive relationship with her family.
John is survived by five sons and their wives: JohnDavid (Janet), Jerry (Sandy), Wes (Lori), James (Theresa), and Dan (Marilyn), 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and his second wife Agnes, her seven children, their spouses and families.
John was predeceased by his first wife Helen and son Harry.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on February 10, 2024, McIvor Ave MB Church, Winnipeg, with viewing prior.
Private interment at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
