It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Victor Hussey, known affectionately as "Vic," "Dad," and "Bop," on February 1, 2024, at Grace Hospital. Born on May 24, 1933, in Montreal, QC, Victor leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication.
Born and raised in Montreal, Victor was the youngest of the five siblings, having three older sisters and an older brother. Spending nearly 40 years of his life dedicated to his career as an aircraft mechanic for Air Canada, his commitment and expertise contributed significantly to the aviation industry.
Victor's passions were as diverse as they were captivating. A skilled practitioner of karate, he found strength and discipline in the martial arts. He also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, whether it was traveling, cruising the open waters, making his own wines, golfing, or having a glass of Drambuie.
Victor's unique sense of humor, marked by witty quips and laughter, leaves fond memories in the hearts of his family and friends. His kindness and generosity will be fondly remembered as he went above and beyond, offering his helping hand and support to anyone fortunate enough to know him.
His greatest joy was his family. Victor is survived by his beloved wife, Doreen Wichart, and their blended family: son Alan (Annissa) Hussey, daughter Sandra (Paul) Hussey, stepdaughter Noreen Wichart, stepson Larry Wichart, stepdaughter Debra (Terry) DiUbaldo, and stepson Trevor (Karen) Wichart. Predeceased by stepson Randy Wichart. He leaves behind a legacy through his 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who will carry on his spirit of love.
A private family burial will be held to celebrate Victor's life, reflecting the intimate nature of his relationships.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Victor's memory.
Victor Hussey will be dearly missed but forever remembered as a loving husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, and friend. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love he so generously shared throughout his remarkable life.
