AGNELO LINDO

November 17, 1956 - January 23, 2024

Tragically, Agnelo and his beloved dog Cassie were taken from us in a house fire.

Agnelo was predeceased by his father José and leaves to mourn his daughters, Lisa (Jeffrey), Andrea (Tyler), grandchildren, Liam and Erin, mother Maria Gloria, siblings, Francisco (Gina), Graça, John, Tony, Luis (Jennifer) and Fatima, second wife Shannon, her children, Allyson, Anica (Gavin), Dylan (Priyanka), her grandchildren, Junior, Sage and Leif and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, along with many friends and former co-workers from Motor Coach Industries where he had worked for over 40 years.

Agnelo was born in Ponta Delgada, Portugal and came to Canada with his family in 1971. His first passion was his family, followed by his pets, his home country and soccer. He played and coached many teams in Winnipeg over the years and had he not moved would very likely have played professionally in Portugal. He loved fishing and camping trips to BC and Ontario, and dreamed of being a rally race car driver.

Funeral Service to be held at 2:00 p.m. on February 22, 2024 at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., Winnipeg, MB R3T 5Y4. Private inurnment to follow.

Donations can be made in Agnelo and Cassie’s names to Manitoba Underdogs Rescue 23-845 Dakota St., Winnipeg, MB R2M 5M3.

  • My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Agnelo. I had not seen Agnelo for the last thirty years and was very happy to see him at the MCI Retiree's Breakfast gatherings this past fall. As always, he was laughing and joking about the good times with all his MCI friends. He will be missed by many. May God Bless him.
