Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEANNE VALERIE WITWICKI
With sadness we announce the passing of our mom and baba, Jeanne Witwicki.
Jeanne was a kind and generous woman, with a good sense of humour. She loved visiting with family and friends, loving on people (especially her five grandchildren), cheering for her Toronto Blue Jays, and was the consummate teacher.
Mom was born in Stuartburn, MB, to Michael and Anna Korotash, where she grew up on a farm as the second youngest of seven siblings. After graduating from high school, she moved to Winnipeg to attend Normal School, and spent the next 38 years teaching. She was married to Melvin Witwicki in 1960, and together they raised two children, Dina Witwicki-Wood, and John Witwicki in North Kildonan.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Riverwood Church Community "The Warehouse", 270 Gordon Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, on Saturday, February 24th, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, honour her memory with a donation to Concordia or Grace Hospital Foundations.

Our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Jeanne's family and friends. Jeanne was a very active and involved member of our "Ladies Auxiliary" at Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church in North Kildonan. She was always cheerful and very giving of her time to the many fundraising activities of our Parish. Although during the recent past she was unable to participate, our members kept her on our prayer chain. May she "Rest in Eternal Peace". - Posted by: June Gray (Friend) on: Feb 24, 2024

So sorry to see this in the obituaries. The name ignited a remembrance. I think She was my Grade 7 Teacher at Machray School. I remember Her being Miss Korotash and during the same year, She became Mrs. Witwicki. She was very kind. - Posted by: Josephine Wasney (nee Opalinski) (former student) on: Feb 17, 2024
