Passed away peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital after a short illness on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at the age of 87 years.
Joanne is survived by her husband Ian and three children, Lori of Winnipeg, Kevin of Oakville, Ontario, Sarah of Winnipeg and her four grandchildren Graham, Alana, Eric and Victoria.
Joanne was born and raised in Neepawa. She and Ian were married in 1956 and moved to Winnipeg shortly thereafter. Joanne enjoyed many hobbies over the years including Olympic calibre knitting, dancing, singing in a choir and was a huge Blue Jays fan even during the lean years. She was a great cook and always enjoyed trying new foods and hosting and attending dinner parties with her many friends.
There will be no service by request, and a private cremation has taken place.
Flowers are gratefully declined, if friends so desire, donations may be made to: Arthritis Research Canada.
