We are saddened to announce the passing of Leah Marie Louise Chapdelaine on February 10, 2024, at the age of 94.
Leah was born to parents Alexander and Bernadette Chapdelaine on January 19, 1930, in Woodley, Saskatchewan.
She was predeceased by brothers, Aime and Laurent Chapdelaine as well as her sister Jeanne Kattler. She is survived by her brother George (Virginia) Chapdelaine of Lumby, BC, sister-in-law Joan Chapdelaine of Winnipeg and many nieces and nephews.
Leah worked for The Royal Bank for over 40 years, starting her career in Regina, Saskatchewan, then transferring to Winnipeg in the early 1950s, until she retired in 1990. She enjoyed line dancing, tai chi and was an accomplished artist and maker of fine porcelain figurines. She loved to travel and made many trips to other countries.
We will miss her complementary nature and her love for laughter.
At Leah's request she will be cremated and a service will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba.
