EVELYNE MARIE DECORBY
Evelyne Decorby (née Trudel) died peacefully on Sunday, February 18, 2024, in Winnipeg, MB at Actionmarguerite Saint-Boniface, after a long and courageous life.
Born in St. Malo, MB on May 20, 1928, Evelyne was predeceased by seven siblings (one in infancy), many loved ones, friends, and relatives, including her husband Henry in 2007; most recently her granddaughter Brieanna Decorby and sister Madeleine Tetrault (formerly Lamoureux); and, her brother-in-law Maurice Decorby who died on the same day.
She is survived by three children, Raymond (Gabrielle) Decorby of Yellowknife, NT; Monique (David) Wright (Nanoose Bay, BC); and Michelle Decorby of Winnipeg, MB; and her grandson Spencer (Justine) of Yellowknife, NT. She also leaves to mourn her younger sibling, Aline Reid (Fouilliard), also of Winnipeg (formerly St. Lazare), MB, and her sister-in-law Ora Decorby in Kelowna, BC.
Evelyne’s funeral mass will be celebrated by Monseigneur Maurice Comeault on Tuesday, february 27, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at Paroisse Cathédrale Saint-Boniface Cathedral, 180 avenue de la Cathédrale, in Winnipeg. Interment will take place at a future date in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodière Blvd.
