Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY KROPELNICKI
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved aunt, Mary Kropelnicki (Chocha), on February 27 at the age of 92. She departed this world peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place with a memorial and interment of ashes to be held in the summer.
Mary was born on December 24, 1931, in Selkirk MB to Anne and Alex Pernak and is survived by her nephews, Alan and Gary Karasiuk (wife Marion), great-niece and nephew, Alexis and Zachary, and brother-in-law Roy Karasiuk. She is predeceased by husband Walter Kropelnicki and sister Helen Karasiuk, with whom she is now reunited in eternal peace.
Mary (along with her husband) may be best remembered for running the Dinette restaurant, a long-time fixture on Manitoba Avenue in Selkirk, which is fondly remembered to this day.
We would like to thank Mary's friends and neighbours for their help over the years, enabling her to live in her Park Road home, until almost age 90. We would also like to thank the staff of Betel Home in Selkirk for their patience and care during Mary’s stay. Special thanks to Gail Bodman for her help during Mary’s last years.

During the 70s I worked on Manitoba at Macleods. I always went to the dinette for coffee and lunch. They were good people and we were friends all these years. Mary will be missed. We always had a lot of good laughs together. My Condolences to your family. - Posted by: Joe fisher (Friends) on: Mar 02, 2024
