With family by his side, Wallace “Wally” Frederick Everett, age 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 26, 2024.
Wally was predeceased by his parents, Fred (1980) and Runa (1984) Everett; his brothers and best friends, Steve (2011), and Joe (2016); his beloved wife, Marie (2017); and his only son, Evan (2014). He missed them all sorely and knowing that they are reunited once again, brings us great comfort.
Wally is survived by his daughters, Laurie, and Angela (Kevin); daughter-in-law Fanny; six grandchildren, Anna-Maria (Matt); Evan Jr. (Shannon); Christopher, Nicholas, Theodore, and Blaine; and four great-grandchildren, Rowen, Eli, Sophia, and Anastasia.
Dad enjoyed many years being self-employed, working side by side with his son, selling and servicing TV’s and electronics at ABC TV on Sherbrook Street, and later at MTV on Corydon Avenue. He made many of his customers lifelong friends. At home, Dad loved gardening, spending time outdoors, and hosting family bbq’s while enjoying the Bombers in the summer; and, cheering on the Jets in the winter.
Our family would like to acknowledge the residents and staff at Amber Meadow for giving him a community for the past eight years. To Fisher River Cree Nation Chief and Council for their support. To Ashley and Maggie for their care, compassion and empathy during Dad’s final hospital stay.
As per Dad’s wishes, no formal service will be held. Cremation has taken place, and a private family Celebration of Life and burial will be held this summer.
