On February 22, 2024, Lawrence passed on peacefully into the arms of the Lord at the age of 88.
He was predeceased by his soulmate, Madge (Madeleine), parents, William and Lena, sisters, Mary, Anne and Adele, great-grandchild Kiana (Vin). He leaves to mourn his daughters, Donna and Kimberly, grandchildren, Matthew and Ashley, great-grandson Jaxon; his sisters, Nancy, Martha, and Evelyn; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Lawrence was born near Senkiw in Manitoba. At the age of 17, Lawrence started work at Brooke Bond Foods (now Unilever) where he met the love of his life Madge.
Lawrence enjoyed many activities along with Madge, friends, and family, including bowling, golf, cheating at cards, board games, sledding, curling and he was a long time Blue Bomber fan. Lawrence felt blessed to be involved in faith groups and the parish community. He was an example of gentle and loving faith. After retirement, Lawrence was ordained a deacon. He enjoyed many years serving at Holy Redeemer.
Special thanks to staff on 4th floor Poseidon Personal Care for the comfort and care provided to Lawrence. We wish to thank family and friends for their support and prayers.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Parish, 264 Donwood Dr. with Fr. Anthony Austin presiding and Deacon Ken Perrett assisting.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Redeemer Parish or to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.

Deacon Lawrence was a very kind, gentle, faithful man who served our Parish community with so much love and tenderness. He was always willing and ready to help in any way he could.
