Betty passed away peacefully with family and friends by her side on February 23, 2024 in the Brandon Regional Health Centre, palliative care unit in Brandon, Manitoba at the age of 86 years.
Betty was born on June 24, 1937 in Stonewall, Manitoba. She was raised in Souris, Manitoba where she attended school and worked at the local grocery store. Betty married Lloyd Waterman, and they resided on a farm west of town where they raised their family.
Betty was active in various community groups over her years. Mom is now rejoined with Dad and many extended family members in eternity.
Betty is survived by her children, Harry Ironman, Eleanor Ironman, Philip Waterman, and Marcia (Scott) Routledge, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral will be held July 16, 2024 in Souris, Manitoba; further details to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation, “Palliative Care Unit”, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, MB, R7A 2B3.
