Valerie passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024, at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Stanley (1998), parents, Michael and Anna Gushta and 15 siblings.
She is survived by her son Casmir (Anne), granddaughter Michelle (Paul), great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Gianna, grandsons, Matthew, Marc and Morgan, also son Richard, and daughter Karen.
Valerie is also survived by her brother Albert (Anne) of Kamloops, BC, in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews around the country.
Honorary pallbearers are Valerie’s grandsons, Matthew, Marc, Morgan, great-grandson Gabriel, Donna Chuhie and David Kamke.
Valerie’s family would like to thank the staff at Red River Place Extendicare for caring for our mom the last few months.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk, Manitoba. Interment will take place at a later date in the St. Johns Baptist Cemetery.

Peacefully, on Friday, March 8, 2024 at the Red River Place Personal Care Home in Selkirk, MB, Winnie Manitowich, aged 91 years, passed away.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB.
