DAVID (DAVE) HAROLD HAWKINS
David “Dave” Harold Hawkins, age 67 years, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 4:20 p.m. with his spouse Pauline by his side at the Brandon Regional Health Centre.
Dave was a hard worker and just a very kindhearted man who would give the shirt off his back to help others in need and was known to many. Dave worked other jobs in his life but the one that stands out is at Behlen Industry for 46 years, wow what a milestone.
When Dave wasn’t working, in his spare time he enjoyed fishing, camping, auction sales, bingo and meat draws at the legion.
He will be lovingly remembered by his spouse of 20 years Pauline; stepson Justin (Sam); grandchildren Tylor and Jena; brother Mike (Maureen); brother-in-law Denny (Betty); niece Twyla (Jody, William and Jody Jr.); nephew Jason (Leonie, Madison and Hannah); nephew Tim (Robin, Sunny, Lex and Reeve); extended family brother-in-law Dan (Donalee); niece Melissa (Adam and Chloe), niece Meagan (Jesse); sister-in-law Paulette (Dan); mothers-in-law Georgette and Carmella and numerous cousins and friends. Special friends Clark, Kevin and Gerald.
Dave was predeceased by father Harold, mother Hazel and sister Shirley.
Special thanks to the Palliative Care Unit A3 for the wonderful care you gave Dave.
A Celebration of Dave’s Life will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 (TODAY), at 1:30 p.m. at Memories Chapel, 330 -18th Street, Brandon, MB. Interment will be held at a later date at the Souris Cemetery.
Donations in Dave’s memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 4022- 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg MB, R3E 0V9.

To Hawkins Family, Partner & Friends Memories: Heh Wavey-seen your tire tracks going home last night-Yah Know! A few minutes visit always turned out to be hours of entertainment! Always a Smile & Hand Shake! Remember him trying to roller skate cross country! Remember him removing bee hives and wasp nest Bare Handed! Remember not having to sweep when he threw a curling rock! Driving 3 hrs. because he knew his friend needed his support! Bottom line, Wavey Dave would give you the shirt off his back, if he thought you would need it!
