MARION DEWIELE
It is with great sorrow that we announce that Marion DeWiele has passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the age of 91.
Marion was predeceased by her husband Victor, who died in 1990 at an early age due to cancer.
Marion was born in London, England and spent her childhood and early adult years there before moving to Canada, where she lived for the remainder of her life. She is best remembered for her role as matriarch of her large family, a role she focused on following the early death of her husband. Helping her children and grandchildren through times of sickness and difficulty, and her endless efforts contributing to the quality of life of all of her large family, was most important to her. Her enthusiastic participation in the spiritual life of her church, Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Winnipeg, Manitoba, was a pillar of support. She will be fondly remembered by all who shared in that life. She was a loyal and generous friend to many.
Marion will be lovingly remembered by her children and their partners, Joseph (Michelle), Valerie (John), Michael (Corinne) and Lorraine as well as her grandchildren and their partners, Nicholas, Bronwyn, Sean, Christopher (Jessica), Matthew (Teresa), Leslie (Karl), David, Allison (Abhi), Heather, Shannon (Peter), Derek (Gina), Brian (Jenn), and Cole (Ana). Marion as well has a great-granddaughter Milena.
A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on the evening of Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 4588 Roblin Blvd., Winnipeg, Manitoba. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow in the church hall and then interment.
