Juliette Granger passed away peacefully at Foyer Valade, on March 9, 2024. She was 92 years of age.
Juliette was born in Letellier, Manitoba, on April 28, 1931, to Zotique Granger and Juliette Barnabé. She was predeceased by her parents, her sisters, Thérèse, Sr. Cécile RNDM, Marcelle, Aline, Carmelle, and her brothers, Henri, Hercule, Jules, and Marc. She is survived by her sister Germaine.
She will be missed by her children Jo-Anne (Jamie) and Gilles (Monique), her grandchildren Roxanne (Josh), Derek (Désirée), Chantal (Teo), Jérémie, Danica, and Stephanie (Yanick), great-granddaughters Ariana and Juliette, her children’s father David, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
From an early age Mom had a great love of music, the piano and singing. From church choirs, where she sang, played the organ, and directed, to Les Intrépides, she was always involved with music.
Over the course of 30 years, Mom taught in various schools. Hundreds of school children will remember her fondly as their tiny teacher, Mrs. Grégoire. She loved all her children, even the “naughty” ones.
Mom loved gardening and her flowers; her garden plots and flower beds were always immaculate. She always had flowers and plants in her home, it was important to have beautiful living things year-round.
Mom loved to travel and often went with her good friend and niece, Madelaine. They always had fun on their adventures.
Mom would never miss an opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren, they were her pride and joy. She would attend hockey and ringette games, dance recitals, gymnastics competitions, and many, many piano recitals. Sleepovers at Grandmaman’s were always fun and looked forward to with anticipation.
You will be greatly missed and always loved by those left behind.
Prayers will be held Friday, April 5 at 7:00 p.m., at Desjardins Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 6 at 2:00 p.m. with viewing starting at 1:30 p.m., at Sainte-Famille church, 778 Archibald St, with Père Armand Le Gal presiding. Internment will be held at a later date.

How fondly I remember tante Juliette. Always looking wonderful with great stories to tell. She had many many nieces and nephews but for a long time always remembered my birthday. She told me that she got her first pair of glasses as a teenager on the day I was born. Receiving her birthday cards over the years was always very special. - Posted by: Colette Gentes (Niece) on: Mar 26, 2024
