It is with great sadness; the family of Gwen Lawrie announce her sudden passing at Selkirk Hospital.
Left to cherish her memory are beloved husband Bill, of 62 years; children, Edward (Val), Robert (Lisa) and grandchildren, Jordan (Marlee and Carter), Shelby (Peter), Zoe, Justin (Emily), Tiahna (Glen), Noah, Chelsea. She will also be missed by siblings, Gail (Doug), Ivan (Pat), in-laws Bob (Darlene), Gordon (Bernice), Dorothy Kerr and also many nieces and nephews.
Gwen was predeceased by her parents May and William Henry, daughter Donna Vulcar, siblings Walter, Ken, and Phoebe.
In 1995, Gwen and Bill moved to Whytewold MB, full time where they enjoyed sharing their home and meals with family and friends. Upon retirement in 2006, they immersed themselves in the community attended the local church, singing in choirs with Gwen being part of the knitting club.
Gwen was an avid sports fan as season ticket holder for Bombers for years and watching Bombers and Jets game on television.
In 2022, Bill and Gwen moved to Woodland Courts Assisted Living in Selkirk and in December 2023 Gwen moved to Red River Place in Selkirk.
The Family would like to thank the staffs at Woodland Courts and Red River Place for their support.
Gwen will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 in Whytewold.

Georganne and I would like to extend our sincere condolences to Bill and Family on Gwen's passing. Prior to them moving we spent considerable time together as we enjoyed their company immensely. Our deepest sympathy and prayers to Bill and family. We have many wonderful memories of Gwen from church, Ottercroft singing group and the knitting and crafters group.
