Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLUC ERNEST DUFAULT
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Luc Ernest Dufault who passed away peacefully in Notre Dame Hospital, surrounded by loved ones, after a short battle with cancer.
He leaves to mourn his loving wife Dorothy of seven years, his grandson Carson (from his first marriage) whom he cared for, his children, Marc (Chrisy), Chantal (Mike), Joey (Amanda), Melanie, Sophie (Hayden), his stepsons, Ivan and Ian; as well as his grandchildren, Colby, Faith, Mia, Max, Kealey, Brinley, Noah and Liam. He also leaves to mourn his siblings, René, Evelyne, Adrien, Alfred, Simone, Marie, Jeanne, Monique and Michelle.
Luc was predeceased by his parents, Marcel and Yvette Dufault, and sister Annette.
Luc grew up on a farm outside of Somerset, Manitoba. He was the second of 11 children. He started off working on the family farm, worked numerous jobs over the years and found his second home working at Notre Dame Used Oil for the last two decades. He had a work ethic like no other, was a man who marched to his own beat and was always ready to help those in need.
Special thanks to the staff at Notre Dame Hospital for the care he received during his final weeks of life. The family would also like to thank the Notre Dame Used Oil team for their support during these last few weeks.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help cover living expenses for his wife and grandson.
A funeral mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the Notre Dame of the Nativity Parish, 402 Lachance Street, Somerset, Manitoba. The rosery and eulogy will begin at 1:00 p.m.

I got to meet Luc at Notre Dame Used Oil. Did not meet often or for a long time but found Luc to be pleasant to chat with seemingly always having a smile. Sorry to hear of your loss. Sincere condolences - Posted by: gerald sabourin (co worker) on: Apr 08, 2024
