MARGARET GAUDREAU

(nee GOMOR)

October 28, 1932 - March 16, 2024

It is with profound sadness that the family of Margaret Gaudreau (nee Gomor) are sharing the news of her passing on March 16, 2024, at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg.

As she goes to join her husband Roger, parents, John and Catherine Gomor, sister Betty Martin and brother Steve Connell, she leaves to mourn her daughters, Eleanor Hrabowych (Roman), Cathy Freedman (Mark) and Patti Lesey, her grandchildren, Alexandra Hrabowych (Jacob), Daniel Hrabowych (Brittany), Carolyn Streilein (Will), and Cameron Lesey. She also leaves behind sister Emma Taylor (James), brother David Zawatsky, and brother-in-law Gerry Gaudreau (Eveline), along with many nieces and nephews.

Prayers will be held on Tuesday, April 2 at 7:00 p.m. and the funeral will be held on April 3 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church on Munroe Avenue. A reception will be held in the church hall following the funeral. Live streaming of the service will be available on the St. Alphonsus Winnipeg Facebook page.

Our family would like to acknowledge the compassionate and professional care that Mom received at Middlechurch Home. They truly made her feel that she was part of their family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson Society of Canada, donate@parkinson.ca, or to the St. Alphonsus Parish Building Fund, contactsals@gmail.com

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • It’s very sad to lose your mom, at any age. We can be grateful for their long life, yet still feel robbed like it wasn’t long enough. Our mom’s are special human beings, that know us longer than anyone, and that’s hard to replace. So we carry them with us until it’s our turn, and hope to see them again where they can once again take us in their arms and hold us and say, “there there, it’s going to be okay, I love you.” Until then you can always count on me, Patti, for a hug and a “it’s going to be okay Patti, I love you.” - Posted by: Karen McLachlan (Friend of Patti) on: Apr 03, 2024
