SHARON BORLEY
On the sunny spring day of Thursday, March 14, 2024, Sharon, age 72, left us to be forever in peace.
She was born and raised in Edmonton, child of Earl and Helen, and sister to older brother Doug.
She often spoke of the many special summers making memories taking the train to Nepewassi Lake in Ontario to stay with family she loved whole heartedly, and visit what was to be lifelong friends. In young adulthood, Sharon moved to Winnipeg with her friends. Here she met Rick and was married in 1970. They built a home outside Fannystelle, Manitoba, welcomed children, Kristyn and David, and lived there until 1994 before moving to Oak Bluff, Manitoba. Sharon was active in the community, and spent countless hours at rinks, and all kinds of sports venues being her kids’ biggest fan. She worked for 35 years at Starbuck School. Her title was secretary, but was so much more to the kids, parents, and teachers. Her family meant the world to her, and she to them. Also known as “Nanny”, she was an integral part of her grandchildren, Brynja, Andren, and Aren’s lives. She did everything with them. She was their cheerleader and the exemplary model of pure kindness and hard work. She loved having family dinners and trying new recipes. Sharon had so many wonderful long-time friendships, a testament to what a special, kindhearted and funny person she was. She was selfless, loved by many and will be missed immensely.
A Celebration of Life will be planned and held in the coming weeks.

To Kristyn, Barrett, David and grandchildren We dearly appreciated knowing your dad and mom. We became friends for many years. We enjoyed our camping trips; going to Chicken Chef many Friday njghts; birthday parties and get togethers. They surely will be deeply missed!!! but we are thankful and grateful for all our fond memories. Thoughts & prayers go out to you in the lose of your dear Mother & Grandmother. As you wrote in the tribute she was your biggest champion. She had a heart of gold and would take time out of her busy schedule to sit quietly and visit. So many Christmas Eves we shared with your parents. Would love to share time with you and give you all a big hug. Yes we re hurting too but not like you are. Till we meet again Abe & Lois - Posted by: Abe & Lois (Neighbour and friends) on: Apr 01, 2024

I am saddened to read of Sharon's passing. I cut the grass at Starbuck School. Sharon was the "go to" person, the core. We shared a lot of laughs together. She was in my thoughts just last week and I should have connected. Sincere condolences to the family. Her grandchildren were the light in her life. - Posted by: Jim Walker (Friend) on: Mar 31, 2024

I have only recently reconnected with cousin Sharon and we clicked immediately. Our initial conversation, was my interest in our family tree and what we shared about the present & memories of the past. We talked about family, grandchildren and we felt a bond immediately. Hence, plans to connect more were made. We talked of Christmas and the family whom she was immensely proud of & closely connected to. She looked forward to her family vacation away. I am glad she had that time! Then we were to talk in late Feb… a message here: don’t wait to call if someone is on your mind. Now it is surreal & sad to learn of her sudden passing. Shocking really. Rest in peace Sharon, you left an indelible mark on me 💞 and you are in our hearts always. Love Doreen & family - Posted by: Doreen MacNeill (Cousin) on: Mar 30, 2024
