DONNA ELAINE CRONMILLER
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donna on March 5, 2024.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Diana and Don Johnston and her cousins.
Donna was born in Winnipeg to Len and Wilda Cronmiller and spent her early years in St. Vital. She graduated from the University of Manitoba’s Facility of Home Economics in 1972. Upon completion of her internship in Toronto, she continued working there for several years before returning to Winnipeg in 1974. She was employed as a registered dietitian at St. Boniface Hospital in the Department of Food Services, retiring from there in 2009. Donna held different managerial positions during this time and loved the challenges of the job and the interactions with her co-workers.
Donna was active in various organizations. At University she was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority, serving as the chapter’s president for one year. She was a member and involved in the Manitoba Association of Registered Dietitians. After retirement, she was very active with the Osteoporosis Society of Canada’s Manitoba Chapter, helping with presentations, displays and seminars. As an outgoing person she enjoyed the interactions with others and the friendships that developed.
Donna was a kind and caring person with a strong determined will which helped her maintain a positive attitude as her health declined. Her easy smile and wit will be sorely missed by all she knew.
In following with Donna’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at a later date.

I am Donna's first cousin. Our fathers were brothers. When Donna was doing her internship in Toronto, she spent time at our home and cottage. Donna was a kind and lovely young woman. She was friendly, warm and fun loving. We remember fondly the time we spent with her in Toronto in the early 1970s. She will be missed by those who loved and cared for her.
