Bette passed away peacefully at the Grace Hospital after a long and courageous battle.
She leaves us to meet with her mom and dad, Douglas and Marjorie Haimes.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband Wilfred, sons Trevor and Colin, brothers Bob (Kathy) and Doug (Jenn) and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Bette had a long and successful career as a real estate professional with Royal LePage. Bette loved her family, being a realtor and her clients. Over the years she enjoyed numerous artistic endeavors, whether it was knitting, painting, pottery or making jewelry. She also enjoyed a good laugh; tears would stream down her face. Bette also loved to interact with people and hear their stories. She was a caring person, and she will be forever in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg.
We would like to thank all the health care professionals at Deer Lodge Centre, St. Boniface Hospital and Grace Hospital.

I'm so sad for Bette's passing. Bette was the best, and always a delight. My sincere condolences to her family. She always spoke so highly of her husband and boys, and she loved her dog. Save me some real estate Bette'. Until we meet again, XO Bonnie - Posted by: Bonita Morris (client/friend) on: Apr 08, 2024

I am shocked and saddened to learn of Bette’s passing. Where to begin? I met Bette at the beginning of my 20-year career with Royal LePage, and we became instant friends from day one. Bette, together with my sister Cathy Sutton and me, were “the three sisters” in the office. We shared so many lunches, laughs and stories, I’ve lost count. Bette was a wonderful gal with a terrific sense of humor. She was always supportive of friends and her beloved family. Bette was a true professional, well-liked by her clients -(many of whom became friends!) always acting with integrity and putting her customers’ interests ahead of her own. Although we didn’t see much of each other recently, I’ll never forget Bette and the wonderful friendship we had. Wilf, Colin and Trevor, I am so very sorry for your loss.
