It is with deep sadness I announce the sudden death of my beloved mother, Eleanor May Frederiksen on March 28, 2024, at Concordia Hospital.
Eleanor was preceded by her cherished husband, Kurt, her parents, Jane and Leslie Loutit, brother Stanley and sister-in-law Florence Loutit, brothers-in-law, Ken Fidler and Ralph Frederiksen. She is survived by her son Kevin, sisters, Sheila Fidler and Lois Mabee (Bob), and her sisters-in-law, Lee Frederikesen and Ruth Mathes. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, good friends, and her pets, Jet, Lola and Luna.
Eleanor was very out-going, big hearted, kind, generous, welcoming and very independent. Eleanor worked for many years at Anderson’s Greenhouse, Naleway Foods and retired from Gourmet Baker where she made many friends. Trips to Barbados, Missouri, California, Denmark and across Canada were very special. Eleanor enjoyed reading, bingo and Saturday at the casino. She will be missed by many.
Those wishing to donate in Eleanor’s memory may do so to Abundant Life Lutheran Church, 3486 Raleigh Street, East St. Paul, MB, R2E 1B9 or Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3.
Service will be at Glen Eden Funeral Home on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow service.
