EUNICE SYNNOTT

(nee SCOTT)

Our precious Eunice went off to meet Our Lord on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 7, 2024. She was born December 7, 1928 in Barton Upon Irwell, England and grew up during the Second World War.

In 1946 she met James Synnott, married and they welcomed Anne to their small family. In September 1951 they moved to Dublin Eire, and along came David and Michele. In 1958 they immigrated to Winnipeg to a new adventure.

Eunice enjoyed her working life, but most of all she loved her vocation as a volunteer at St. Ignatius Parish where she loved participating in God's work in the RCIA program, CLC, Healing Ministry, Mothers' Prayers, and as a funeral sacristan. People would say they felt God's love from her caring ways.

In 1959 they met Ina and Mike, their dear friends and spent many happy times with them and their family. Ina was like a wonderful sister for her. Later on, in her 80s, she discovered and met her two sisters for the first time, here in Canada.

She was predeceased by her husband James, sister Jean, and granddaughter Kristin. She leaves behind her sister Gillian, children, grands, great-grands, and great-great-grands, all of whom she loved dearly.

The family would like to thank Dr. Heather Domke and the wonderful staff at Health Sciences Centre for their care of Eunice.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eunice’s honour to St. Ignatius or Health Sciences Centre Foundation.

Eunice was celebrated at Mass on Friday, April 12, 2024 at St. Ignatius Parish.
