SHERRILL ODETTE ARRELL
Sherrill Odette Arrell (nee Gurr) passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at the age of 82.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, John Burton Arrell and their children, Kent Arrell (Debbie Lewis), Tracie (Marty) Wilkinson and Jodi Arrell (Joe Stirnimann). Sherrill was a beloved Gran to Robyn, Noah, Katelynn and Niklas, Step-gran to Sean (Kelly), Ryan (Lisa), Andrew (Emily) and great-gran to Emmett, Liam, and Odin. Sherrill will be fondly remembered by her siblings, Wayne (Yolanda) Gurr, Barry (Carolyn) Gurr, Tric (Wayne) Workman, her sister-in-law, Shirley Wellman, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Our Wife, Mom, Sister, Auntie, Gran, and Great-Gran taught us many things through her actions and her words. She showed us that love gives us strength, humour builds bridges of connection, and family is everything. To Sherrill, time spent with those she loved was never wasted. This wonderful lady will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who had the privilege of being touched by her kind heart, the bright twinkle in her eye and her easy laugh. She may no longer be with us physically, but we take great comfort in knowing that her light continues to shine in the ones she loved the most.
Our family would like to thank Dr. Anozie and Dr. Brown from Selkirk, MB, & Dr. Liu from HSC Winnipeg.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Selkirk United Church, 202 McLean Avenue, Selkirk, Manitoba.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Sherrill's name to the Brandon Regional Health Center Foundation (Neonatal Unit) or CancerCare Manitoba.

My condolences to the family. When I worked at Knox United in Brandon, Sherrill befriended me and we had many good chats, coffee/tea, while folding bulletins or doing other things for the church. She was a very wonderful person. I don't think I ever heard Sherrill say a bad word about anybody - she was always to kind and patient with everyone. And always spoke so highly of John and the family. Take comfort in knowing she was a truly special person to many. - Posted by: Sharon McIntosh (Friend) on: Apr 20, 2024
