Donna Gustafson, beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024, in her hometown of Brandon, Manitoba. She was born on June 26, 1956, to loving parents who instilled in her a strong sense of humor and an unwavering love for life.
Donna's infectious laughter and amazing sense of humor were the cornerstones of her personality. Her quick wit and ability to find joy in even the simplest moments endeared her to everyone she met. She had a special fondness for Tim Hortons' double doubles and strawberry jelly powdered donuts – they always brought a smile to her face.
In addition to her zest for life, Donna was known for being an avid bingo player. Her collection of colorful bingo dabbers was always at the ready as she tried her luck at winning big. It seemed that luck often favoured Donna – perhaps it was because she approached everything with such positivity and optimism.
Family meant everything to Donna. She leaves behind three cherished children, Cory, Paige, and Jesse; two adoring sisters, Patti and Nancy; as well as a devoted brother Bobby. Each one held a special place in her heart, and their memories will forever be etched into hers.
A private gathering will be held for close family members and friends to honour Donna's memory. The outpouring of love from those whose lives she touched is a testament to the impact she made during her time with us.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderfully kind staff at Assiniboine Centre who provided compassionate care during Donna's final days.
Donna may no longer walk among us physically, but the echoes of her laughter will continue reverberating through our hearts forevermore.
