BRUCE ALBERT MOORE

August 9, 1938 – April 13, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we are announcing the passing of our father, grandfather, friend, Bruce Albert Moore, on April 13, 2024, with his wife of 60 years plus and daughter Kelly by his side at the Stonewall Hospital.
Bruce was born August 9, 1938, in the small town of Teulon, Manitoba. At the age of seven he moved with his parents Albert and Leona Moore to Inwood, Manitoba where he grew up on the farm. Bruce eventually took over the farm, to make it his own along with his siblings, Norman, Merle, Marilyn, Darlene, Cathy and Brian. When Bruce was in his 20s he met his soon to be wife Lynne Margaret Olson, they were married August 10, 1963. Soon after their marriage they decided to start a family, with oldest son Curtis daughter Kelly and son Darcy.
Bruce’s passion was dairy cattle, and beef cattle which he did full-time until 1997 when he sold his dairy herd, continuing with the beef herd until he decided to retire in 2018.
Dad and Mom decided it was time to sell the farm, and moved to Inwood, this is where they reside until today.
Bruce will be sadly missed by his wife Lynne of 60 years plus, his children along with their spouses: Curtis and Maria, Kelly and Randy, Darcy and Lenore and granddaughter Veta Rae Moore. Bruce was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Leona Moore, brother Norman, brother-in-law Jack Palen.
Left to mourn are his four sisters and one brother, Merle and Lloyd of Carman, MB, Marilyn Palen of Teulon, MB, Darlene and Ed of Steinbach, MB, Cathy and partner Joey of Winnipeg, MB and Brian and Teresa of Inwood, MB, and his favourite aunty Irene Corrigal of Teulon, MB. He will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends and neighbours, too many to mention.
Private graveside service will be held by family, with a Celebration of Life for family, friends and neighbours at a later date.
If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 1200 - 2300 Yonge St., Box 2414, Toronto, Ontario, M4P 1E4 or the Diabetes Canada, 1300 - 522 University Ave., Toronto, Ontario M5G 2R5.
The family of Bruce Moore would like to send a very big Thank You to Dr. Zahiri, medical staff of the Stonewall Hospital for their kindness, compassion and most of all the jokes and antics they had with Bruce right until the very end, when he peacefully left us.

  • So many wonderful memories for me and my family...to visit the Moore Farm with Bruce showing his best bull or sharing a funny story. Lynne always cooking and caring for us kids who managed more trouble than necessary? My kids and grandkids also enjoyed their time on the Moore place. Love you all and thinking of you at this sad time...Jim and Brenda-Lee Olson + Family...West Pineridge, MB - Posted by: Jim Olson (Nephew) on: Apr 20, 2024
