HELEN BARBARA BROWN
Helen Barbara Brown, beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Tuesday April 23, 2024, at the age of 73 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Brian Brown; parents Keith Cook and Myrtle Ross; sister Terry Cook; sister-in-law Beverly Cook; and brother-in-law Don Martinook.
Barb will be lovingly remembered by her children Brad Keeble (Carla Phillips), Cory (Heather) Keeble; grandchildren Dylan, Parker, Braden, Olivia, Jackson Keeble, Jazmin Howell and Sophie Phillips; stepmother Marion Cook; sister Ellen Stevens; brother Bill Cook; sister-in-law Dawn (Ken) Minogue; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Barbara was born on March 28, 1951, and grew up in Brandon, Manitoba. She enjoyed many family trips to the west coast as a child. Barb and Brian were married on January 27, 1996. Barb worked for Powell Equipment for many years prior to starting her own business “Spring Crest Draperies.” She enjoyed sewing and ceramics, annual fishing trips to Lake Athapapuskow and spending time with her family. Barb was her grandchildren’s biggest fan and could be found watching every hockey, soccer and baseball game and attending many dance competitions.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Travis Barron and the incredible palliative care nurses and staff at the Brandon Regional Health Centre for the wonderful care that Barb received.
A Celebration of Barb’s Life will take place at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North, Brandon, MB on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. with the reception to follow.
