It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Renée, on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at the age of 86. Mom peacefully passed away with her children by her side at Ste. Anne Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Aimé in 1997.
Mom will forever be remembered and deeply missed by her children, Laurette (Claude), Jeannette (Butch) and Normand; her grandchildren, Danielle (Chris), Joel (Lisa), Richard, Michel (Roxanne), Jamie, Marc, and great-grandchildren. She leaves to mourn brothers and sisters, Laurette, Frank (Joyce), Gilbert (Anita), Hervé (Noella), Étienne (Arlene), Lucie (Roger) and sister-in-law Jeannine Jeanson. She also leaves a huge void in the hearts of many nieces, nephews and friends who dearly loved her.
After dad’s passing, Mom spent many years at the cabin in Lee River. She enjoyed sitting around the campfire sharing her great many stories with family and friends. Her unique sense of humour, wit and anecdotes always left them laughing and in awe. She welcomed everyone with open arms and a generous heart. She loved unconditionally. Her warmth, kindness and integrity were unwavering. Her “joie de vivre” was evident in the way she lived.
Mom had a strong sense of compassion and empathy. She made an impact on many people and made lifelong friends everywhere she went. She saved the best of everything for everyone else and made it her mission to enrich and improve the lives of others with comfort and solace, while asking little in return. She was humble and kind, and her faith carried her through life.
We would like to sincerely express our appreciation and gratitude for the wonderful care Mom received from everyone at the Ste. Anne Hospital.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

I am saddened by the passing of Mme Jeanson. I remember going for coffee at her home many many times with my mom, Bertha. I will always remember her friendliness and laughter.
