David McAuley passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at the age of 90 years. David was born in Brandon on February 11, 1934 to parents David and Martha McAuley. David is survived by his twin sister Mary. He is predeceased by his parents and sister Anne. David attended King George School, Earl Haig School and Brandon Collegiate. Following school he began working in various positions for CP Rail in Brandon, which he did for 39 years, retiring in October 1990. David loved to fish, hunt and garden. He also enjoyed travelling to many places including Hawaii. David was involved in his church, working with the Boys Brigade and Bus Ministry. David moved into Village Green in September 2017 and enjoyed living there, especially the underground parking and getting to know the other residents. A graveside service for David will be held at Rosewood Memorial Gardens on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 12:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at McDiarmid Alliance Church, 635 McDiarmid Drive, Brandon, on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
