NEHEMIAS CABLINGA RUMBAOA

December 8, 1953 - April 19, 2024

Surrounded by family, Nehemias Cablinga Rumbaoa, at 70 years of age, passed away peacefully at Health Science Center on April 19, 2024.

Nehemias was born on December 8, 1953 in Vicitacion, Santa Ana, Cagayan, Philippines to his parents, Paulino Rumbaoa and Cresita Cablinga. Growing up, Nehemias would help his family tend to the farm. Eventually he graduated at FEATI University in 1975 with a degree in Radio-Electrical Engineering. Nehemias worked in Bulcan city for several years. Between 1982 and 1984, Nehemias went to Iraq to work as an Electrical Engineer. He met, "my Olivia" shortly after he returned from Iraq and they married on August 18, 1985. Nehemias moved to Canada in 1987 and worked various cleaning jobs until he landed his job with Vansco Electronics in 1994, as a Machine Operator. He worked there until 2018. He loved gardening, fishing and doing little construction projects at home.

Nehemias is survived by his wife Olivia Parentila Rumbaoa; sons, Jeffrey John Rumbaoa, Jerome Phillip Rumbaoa; and daughter Kristine Joy Rumbaoa. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paulino Rumbaoa and Cresita Cablinga.

Lamay will take place on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, followed by a Graveside Service.
