JANET LYNN HARE
Janet passed away suddenly and with her husband by her side on May 3, 2024, in Winnipeg, MB at the age of 72.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Louise Kohlmeier, brothers-in-law, Don Lear and Bill Irwin, niece Kristen Kohlmeier and granddaughter Lucy McKissack.
Janet is lovingly remembered by her husband John, son Jay (Stacy) Hare and daughter Lindsay (Bradley) McKissack; her granddaughters, Madelyn, Hannah and Audrey Hare and grandson Brooks McKissack. She also leaves her brothers, Paul (Louella) Kohlmeier, Glen (Jeannet) Kohlmeier, sisters, Diane Lear and Karen (Ken) Adams and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Janet was born and raised in Winnipeg and always enjoyed her return visits for family events. In 1987, she and her family moved to Houston, TX, then to Denver, CO in 1995 and has been enjoying retirement in Sun City West, AZ since 2016. You could always find Janet working on a multitude of crafts from knitting to cross-stitching and always loved her visits to the bingo hall. We find it a blessing that Janet was in town to celebrate milestone birthdays for her siblings and passed in her hometown.
The family especially thanks the Winnipeg Paramedics, Fire & Police Services, and the Medical Examiner for their compassionate professionalism at such a difficult time.
There will be no service by request, and a private cremation has taken place.
