Peacefully, with her family by her side, Elisabeth (Liz) Hoenisch passed away into the presence of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on April 29, 2024, at the Selkirk Regional Hospital.
Elisabeth will be lovingly remembered by her dear husband Jakob (Jack), son Michael (Tina), daughters, Christine (Paul) and Jennifer (Dan) as well as six grandchildren, Josh and Rebekah, Sophie and Amelie, Lowen and Grace. She was predeceased by her brother Paul.
Heartfelt thanks to the staff and nurses at Selkirk Hospital (Special Care Unit and the Medicine Wing) for the excellent care given.
Cremation has taken place and no formal funeral service will be held.

Liz was my Mother’s best friend and like a second Mother to me. She and Jack were dear friends of our family for so many decades. Their genuine kindness and goodness is something that rarely exists anymore. We were so blessed to have Liz and Jack in our lives. I know that my parents in heaven were rejoicing when Liz crossed through the Pearly Gates. She was a dear friend and made the world a better place.
