  • Leslie was my best friend who I have known & loved for over 47 years. She has been a special part of my life for a long time. She was always there for me no matter what was going on in my life or hers. She was more than just a best friend, she was the big sister I never had. We spent many many hours talking, laughing & drinking copious amounts of coffee over the years & I will miss those special times. Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories. Farewell my friend, Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. I will miss you forever. Love Ellen - Posted by: Ellen Smith (Best Friend) on: May 26, 2024

  • I got to know Leslie at H&R Block, first in her capacity as an instructor and then as a co-worker. Leslie was an intelligent and knowledgeable person to work with and a lot of fun to be around. She could be direct and serious but always approachable and liked to laugh. I would run into her and Barry in the area and we would always say that we need to do lunch. It took about 15 years but we had lunch about a month ago and made plans for a future lunch which I guess is never to be much to my chagrin. In the future when I have a tax question I'll have to call CRA and get a partially correct answer instead of calling Leslie and getting the correct answer right away. • I was saddened to hear of Leslie's passing. I grew up living next door to the Rymans on Chalmers Avenue and still have fond memories of all of them. They were always warm and friendly. I remember Leslie as being kind to me and all of the younger kids on the street. To the family, always hold on to your memories of the good times and to each other. May Leslie Rest in Peace. - Posted by: Aubrey Settee (Friend ) on: May 21, 2024

  • I remember the first time I met Leslie many many years ago. She had just come home from the hospital after giving birth to her son Brett. She was so happy to show her beautiful baby boy to us. Instead of resting she hosted family dinner that night. Family was everything to her. She was just like that. Leslie was the best sister-in-law I could ever have hoped for. She was always loving, helpful, kind, talented, and so knowledgeable about taxes and so many other things. She loved her nieces and nephew very very much. I have so many happy memories of Leslie these are just a couple. I remember how she would greet her brother Ken, me, her 4 nieces, her nephew and our dog each year for a week at their cottage. Always tolerant of her nieces and nephew and all the noise, and commotion. Feeding us, having toys and games to play, crafts to make, movies to watch while curled in sleeping bags and lots of popcorn and treats. Such good times for the kids. She was just like that. I remember her delicious Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners with dainties. Always serving piping hot delicious food and telling wonderful family stories past and present. She always welcomed us with a smile, love in her heart and lots of hugs and kisses. She was just like that. So many happy times and memories we will always treasure and keep in our hearts. I will always miss you Leslie. I will treasure all the fun times shared with you and the great conversations. I feel very fortunate to have had you in my life. Rest in peace dear sister in law Love Sylvia - Posted by: Sylvia Ryman (Sister in law) on: May 18, 2024
