RUTH MARILYN (LYNNE) BRYLL

January 30, 1938 - May 19, 2024

On May 19, 2024, at the age of 86, Lynne passed away after a brief stay in hospital.

Lynne will be sadly missed by daughter Karen Bryll, daughter-in-law Kelly Bryll and grandsons, Carter and Kaden Bryll. She was predeceased by her husband Richard Walter (Dick) Bryll in 2012 and son Scott Bryll in 2017.

Lynne was born and raised in Kenora, Ontario where she met her husband Dick and together relocated to Selkirk, Manitoba where they lived and raised their family. After kids “left the nest”, they moved north of Selkirk to a larger property where they enjoyed the country life. She was an avid gardener always creating new flower beds with interesting plants she graciously shared with others. Her skills also came through in the form of delicious baking, cooking, and canning.

Her artistic abilities were abundant creating anything her mind could see. She loved sewing, weaving, and crafting putting her heart and soul into every piece she created.

Lynne’s working life began as a piano teacher and continued for many years. Her love of music carried on as organist at Selkirk Evangelical Church where many lifelong friendships were formed. She was involved in the community with P.E.O. and was a founding member participating for many years.

Lynne loved to travel and spent many winters in Mazatlán, Mexico. The annual arrival of her family was a highlight cherished by all.

Thank-you to everyone involved in supporting Lynne in moments of need and a special thanks to staff at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre for genuine and compassionate care.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Lynne's name can be made to World Wildlife Fund Canada.
