MYRNA BOBROWICH
It is with deep sadness that the family of Myrna Bobrowich regrets to announce her passing on May 22, 2024, at the age of 85.
Myrna will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Kathy (Darryl Chody) and Laurie (Lorne Jonsson); grandsons Jason Chody (Heidi) and Kevin Chody (Marjorie); and three great-grandchildren whom she adored and cherished, Abby, Lochlan, and Jack Chody. Myrna also leaves to cherish her memory her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Joanne and Charlie Bobrowich; her very dearest friends Joan Shaw, Betty Ann Skaritko, the Babaluk’s, and Irv Heibert; and many other relatives and friends that she made throughout her life.
Myrna was predeceased far too early by her loving husband David, parents Peter and Katherine Lysyk, sister Helen Bradbury, niece Janice Starodub, and great-granddaughter Mya Chody who passed away in infancy.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at N3 East at Concordia Hospital for their compassionate care. We would also like to send a special thank you to Dr. Dennis Caners, Mom’s family physician for the last 40 years, for taking care of all her health care needs. Mom felt very blessed to have him as her doctor.
If you would like to make a donation in Myrna’s memory, please consider giving to Multiple Sclerosis Canada or to CancerCare Manitoba.
Following a private family interment, a reception will be held for family and friends to celebrate Myrna’s life. Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home in care of arrangements.

We were so sad to learn of Myrna’s passing. She was indeed a beautiful person. We met Myrna through her painting pal, Eleanor Weber & immediately formed a wonderful friendship. We were so fortunate to have called her our friend & will cherish her memory and always keep her in our hearts. We will never forget her “giggles” & laughter. So sorry to hear of Myrna’s passing. Got to know Myrna when her and my mom (Joyce Gessner) started “hanging out” together. Many good laughs were shared! She was there for everyone when they needed it. She was especially good to my Aunt Rhoda during her illness. She loved her family and spoke of them often. May she rest in peace.
