Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLOUISE CHIPPEWAY
My dearest mother, Louise Chippeway, joined the spirit world peacefully on Friday, May 24, 2024. She was/is my best friend. We watched movies together, we watched tennis together, and we watched curling together. On Christmas Day we ate leftovers and watched old movies all day. We lived in our pjs and messy hair for the last few years. I called you Ulease but you are mom and kookum.
Pitaaycommigook/Thunderbird Woman (Louise Chippeway) is a Metis/Ojibwe/Cree Ikwe. She is survived by our cat Chirpy; two sons, Darrell (Gav) and Billy-Joe; four granddaughters, Jada, Jax, Jessica, Jennifer. Her surviving brothers and sisters will miss her dearly: Carol Blackbird, Ed Lafreniere, Linda Lafreniere, Peter Lafreniere, Archie Lafreniere, Leonard Lafreniere, Annette Handel, Joe Lafreniere, Lena Friesen, and Mitchell Lafreniere. There are too many nieces and nephews and cousins to name but know that you are loved.
I love you mom Ulease. You will always be in our hearts.
There will be a Celebration of Life to honour the beautiful life and soul of Louise Chippeway at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 603 Wellington Crescent (Unitarian Church).
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Craig Street Cats, or a charity of your choice in her name.

I met Louise many years ago thru crafting. She brought me back a turquoise ring from a pow wow in New Mexico. Friends on Facebook also and a wonderful friend and taught me so much. I will always remember “Walk a Mile in my moccasin's. So sorry for you loss. - Posted by: Lynn Greaves (Friend from stained glass) on: Jun 01, 2024
