Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • Ivan was a beautiful soul who was always willing to help out a friend co-worker ( me ) without any hesitation. His smile and laughter would light up the room and his love of flowers and life showed every time I saw him. I was saddened to find out today that he lost his battle with cancer. We were going to go to the leaf together but now heaven has another ANGEL. God bless Brian and all his friends, family and co- workers. Co love Tammy. - Posted by: Tammy Jonasson (Friend ) on: Aug 22, 2024

  • To Brian, and the Zimmer family and of course his many friends my Condolences to you on this difficult loss. Ivan and I met at St Charles and became fast friends upon realizing we grew up in the same part of Manitoba. He from Inglis and I was from Binscarth. I went to school with his sister in law Joanne. As the maître d’ at Saint Charles he was very well respected by his fellow employees as well as the membership. Even though we lost touch over the years, I do remember very fondly of being invited to many dinners and card games with the boys. Ivan’s pride in his gardens was evident. He loved and cared for his friends dearly and made you feel special. May you be at peace dear friend you were one of the good guys. - Posted by: Cathy Burton (Friend and former coworker At St.Charles) on: Jun 08, 2024

  • Ivan was an amazing human. I worked with Ivan for many years at Safeway. I have never seen Ivan angry or upset. He was always there to give you a hug and a smile. I was hoping I could see Ivan this summer when I came back to Winnipeg. My thoughts are with Brian for the loss of his partner and friend. Ivan has left a large hole in many people’s lives. Bless you Brian. - Posted by: Penny Penner (Friend ) on: Jun 08, 2024
