HAROLD HORCH
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Harold Horch at the age of 93 years. He died peacefully at Grace Hospital on June 4, 2024.
Harold was predeceased by his wife Betty, sister Elsie, brother-in-law Al, brother-in-law Gordon and sister-in-law Eleanor. He leaves behind a family he loved, son Bill, daughter Susan Addy, son-in-law Bill; grandchildren Bill (Lindsay) and Stephanie (Kevan); great-grandchildren Jack, Leo, Callen and Arlo; nieces Julie, Brenda (Ken), Lori-Ann, Jennifer (Frank), and nephew Mitch (Michelle); and great niece and nephews.
Harold was born in Winnipeg in 1931 and moved to the Melrose area with his wife and children in 1976. He worked for CP Rail for over 30 years and was able to retire at age 55 in 1986. He loved to be outside working on the small farm and working with the few cattle they had, tending to his garden, cutting grass and looking after the yard in general. Always had to be busy doing something. For a few years he also helped with the yard work at the United Church in Oakbank.
He will be dearly missed by all of us. There will be no service as per his wishes.
The family would like to thank the staff at Selkirk and Grace hospitals for their excellent care.

I enjoyed working with Harry in the Frog Shop, also visiting his home many times with my family. We were treated to see his first born set of twin cows. Thank you to Susan for helping keeping up our annual Christmas card. Indeed he was a wonderful person. I know he will be sadly missed - Posted by: Ken & Debby Everard (Work place friend) on: Jun 08, 2024
