It is with profound sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Eugenio Costantino on June. 6, 2024, at the age of 90 at St. Boniface Hospital.
Eugenio was predeceased by his wife Giulia and son-in-law Gino.
He is survived by his three children Jenny Mazza, Vince (Vicky) and Lisa Imbrogno (Mark Mathewson). Along with grandchildren; Charlie and Gino Mazza, Luigi, Marco and Luca Imbrogno, Julia, Gina and Sara Costantino and great-grandchildren; Marco, Serena, and Paolo Mazza. All of his grandchildren were especially close to his heart.
Eugenio was born on Feb 1, 1934 in Cosenza Italy where he met and married wife Giulia in 1957. In 1964 they immigrated to Winnipeg.
Eugenio started his career as a tailor at the very young age of 8 years old as an apprentice. He worked for many years and retired at 65. He also loved making his wine every fall, sharing and comparing it with his friends.
If friends so desire, (in lieu of flowers) donations may be made in Eugenio's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A private service will be held.
Papa thank you for insisting we speak Italian growing up and teaching the grandchildren the Italian traditions and culture.
