Willa was a friend and colleague at the School of Nursing at Brandon University. I had the pleasure of conducting a research project with her and presenting our findings at two conferences, in Banff and Halifax. The Banff trip I remember particularly as Jack drove us there in the motor home. My one and only motor home trip. - Posted by: Renee will (Colleague) on: Jul 25, 2024

On behalf of the WGH/HSC Nurses Alumni, we extend our sincere condolences to Willa’s family and friends on her recent passing. Willa’s 1963 classmates were thrilled that Willa attended their 60th nursing reunion in May 2023 and were able to reconnect and reminisce about their training days. They remember her for her boundless energy and for the care and kindness she extended to family and friends. Willa was a Nurse Educator at the WGH School of Nursing in the mid sixties and became Advisor to the Class of 1967. They remember her as a kind, caring person who always had a ready smile and a positive attitude toward the ‘67 class. Her obituary speaks to her many activities, interests, and involvement in organizations during her life and her immediate and extended family and friends. She lived an engaged and highly productive life and will be missed. - Posted by: Carol Galbraith (FriendshipConvenor WGH/HSC Nurses Alumni Association) on: Jun 15, 2024
