HARRY GERYLO
Peacefully, in his sleep, Harry passed away a few weeks shy of his 89th birthday. He was the second youngest of eight children. He will be remembered by his wife of 65 years, Theresa; daughter Darlene McArdle (Kevin); sons, Douglas (Sherry), Jason (Theresa), James (Theresa); grandsons, Dylan and Devin; his younger sister Pearl and husband Johnny who reside in Surrey, BC; and many nieces, nephews and their families.
Harry was predeceased by his parents, Annie (Chorney) and John; brothers, Walter (Annie), Roman, Fred (Sophie), William (Lily) and sisters, Mary Kupiak (Mike), and Sophie Klim (Mike).
Born in Walkleyburg, Manitoba, Harry left the farm at 14, to go to Pine Falls, cutting trees for the mill. He saved his money and bought his first car. As a young man, he did many jobs, including working as a Police Officer in Grand Marais. Harry retired from Trailmobile (Fruehauf) after being employed there for many years, to continue farming full time. His favorite hobby was collecting, and in earlier years, he was an avid hunter/trapper.
Cremation has taken place. A private family service is planned.
