Suddenly on Saturday, June 8, 2024, Furlon Guy Barker (Lob) at the age of 40, passed away at his home residence in Hollow Water First Nation.
He was predeceased by his grandparents: Lyle and Josephine Barker, Frank and Julia Seymour, and step-grandmother Hilma Ross; uncles: Herman Hope, Charles Seymour, Fred Wood Jr, and Henry Boulette; aunties: Elaine Berens and Zelma Moneas; nephew Kurt Simard; niece Alicia-Sage Barker-Baptiste, and close cousins: Shania Wood and Christine Barker.
Left to mourn his passing are his parents: Furlon and Corrine Barker; brothers: Fabian (Clarissa), Elliott (Precious), and Billy (Roberta); sisters: Lorette (Chico) and Erika (Paul); nephews: Keanu, Kelvin, Tanner, Kayden, Kash, Kyan, Elliott Jr, Kalell, and Aleelon; nieces: Tesla, Keanna, Kalene, Kyrra, Julia, Jersey, Jayla, Ella and Tariqa; great-nephew Aziel; great-nieces: Leighton and Khalida; uncles: Glen (Leona), Larry (Alice), Brian (Corinne) and Lindsay; aunties: Doreen, Wanda, Gloria, Cassandra, Doris, Vivian (Norbert), Gail, Bernel (Darrel) and numerous family, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers are his siblings: Pean, Schoomp, Chine, Ell and Bone.
Honorary Pallbearers; Paul Chief, Merle Johnstone, Steven Johnston, Nano Simard, Kelvin Simard, Tanner Seymour, Kayd Seymour, Faron Seymour, Chan and Gub Boulette, Ryan Cook, Aaron Kennedy, Cheryl Bushie, Christopher Monieas, and Cindy Young.
The family will be having a private viewing and cremation prior to bringing Lob home. Funeral Liturgy will be held at the Roman Catholic Church in Hollow Water at 1:00 p.m. on June 17, 2024, with Father Kevin presiding. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the Hollow Water Band Hall.
