EDWARD STANLEY SOLARZ

1931 - 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Edward “Eddie” Solarz on June 17, 2024, just days before his 93rd birthday.

Left to cherish Ed’s memory are his children, Chris (Rachelle), Gary (Susan), and Caroline (Kevin), beloved grandchildren, Lexi, Hunter and Logan, nephew Freddie, niece Brenda and numerous other friends and family. Ed was predeceased by his loving wife Willie, parents, Michal and Eugenie, brother John, sister-in-law Beatrice and nephew Lennie.

Ed met the love of his life Willie at a singles dance. They built a life full of love, laughter and unforgettable memories with their large group of friends and family.

Ed’s passion was art. He spent many evenings at his art desk capturing the beauty of the province through his watercolour paintings and clothing graphics. His artistic talents were evident in every corner of his wardrobe, home and local businesses which were filled with colourful expressions and positive messaging.

Ed was kind and loving and touched all those who knew him. He will be deeply missed.

Ed, you’re all heart.

The family would like to thank the staff at Golden Links Lodge who were so kind and caring to Ed.

Ed’s life will be celebrated with a memorial service on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB.
