The world is a bit dimmer since it lost one of its brightest stars. Andrea passed away on May 23, 2024 in Winnipeg comforted by her family and lifelong friend Sheila.
We thank Ethical Death Care for providing a photo-biography video honoring Andrea’s life. It is accessible through the ‘tributes’ link at the bottom of this obituary and will appear after June 24, 2024.
A Celebration of Andrea’s Life will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Monday, June 24, 2024 at 603 Wellington Crescent at Academy Road. All who knew Andrea are welcome.

I met Andrea when I was recruiting great communicators to provide media relations services to Elections Canada. From Day 1 of the project, Andrea was the star of our team. Smart, balanced, energetic; I could always count on Andrea to outperform all expectations. During subsequent federal general elections, she became the team members others turned to when they needed advice... or even just a pep talk. We were greatly saddened to learn of Andrea’s passing. We had the good fortune to work with her as part of Shoestring Players. She was organized, thoughtful, deeply committed to Shoestring, as well as being a very fine Actor and Director with a beautiful smile. She will be missed by so many.
