In loving memory of Robert Smith (January 30, 1950 - June 13, 2024).
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Robert (Bob) Smith of Brandon, MB.
Bob grew up in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. He is predeceased by his parents Bruce and Glady Smith and his in-laws, Richard and Margaret Smith. Left to mourn Bob’s memory is his loving wife of 50 years, Linda Smith, his two sons Jason Smith (Kristin) and Evan Smith (Kara) and his grandchildren Danny Dorge, Shaniah Warren, Cassidy Warren, Makayla Dorge, Connor Smith, Morgan Smith, and Cole Smith. Bob had many extended family members (nieces and nephews, in-laws, aunts and cousins) who will also miss his sense of humor and his willingness to lend a hand.
The family would like to thank the EMT and the Brandon City Police for their prompt and compassionate response. Thanks and gratitude to friends, family, and neighbors for supporting us in so many ways.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at the Victoria Inn - Salon 1, 3550 Victoria Ave, in Brandon on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to War Amps Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
