It is with sadness the family of Karin Pallas announce her peaceful passing at Deer Ledge Centre on June 18.
Karin was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Kathe Pallas. Left to cherish her memory are cousins, Glen Lueck, Harold Elke, Julie Ann Dyck and their families.
Karin’s short time on earth was filled with travel to many countries such as Germany, Mexico and the USA with her parents. Karin could speak two languages and brought joy to all who met her. She was a kind soul who was dealt a bad hand. After Karin’s mother Kathe passed in 2020 there was a steep decline in her health and quality of life; Parkinson’s took its toll, along with Breast Cancer.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at SPIKE for caring for Karin over the years.
A graveside service will be held on July 4, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at Brookside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Karin’s name to Parkinson Canada or Canadian Cancer Society.

Karin and I spent every summer at our parent’s cottages at Twin Lakes Beach. We were good friends growing up and after the ice storm hit one spring that damaged their cottage I don’t remember seeing them after that. I was wondering what happened to her and her family. They were all wonderful people and have good memories at the beach. I was sad to hear of Karin’s health issues. I know she is happy with her parents in heaven. Karin and I shared many fun outings together during the pre-Covid years, when she and her dear mother lived at River Ridge. She was a good friend and companion, and I shall miss her. Rest in peace, Karin. - Posted by: Judith Campbell Wasylik (friend) on: Jun 23, 2024
