Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGUERITE EVELYN (CHRISTENSEN) STEFANIUK
With heavy hearts, the family of Marguerite Stefaniuk sadly announces her peaceful passing. God needed another Angel, and she was the most qualified.
Born to Sadie (nee Hill) and Ken (Knud) Christensen, Marguerite was one of four children. They were a close-knit family whose love for each other lasted throughout their lifetimes and carries on through the current generations.
Marguerite met her soul mate, Robert “Bob” Stefaniuk at a roller rink in 1968. They married and she gave up her career in banking to become a stay-at-home mom, a time which she described as the best years of her life.
The town of St. Adolphe was the perfect place for this young family, and they made their home there for 45 years, making many cherished friendships. Marguerite enjoyed coffee with friends, sewing, painting, knitting, gardening, baking, volunteering for school functions, curling, and barefoot walks down the gravel streets. Her joy multiplied with every grandchild, and she treasured every moment spent with each of them. No matter how long the visit, grandchildren always left Grandma’s assured that they were special and loved. Family meant everything to her.
Marguerite is survived by her loving children Rob (Dawn), Jeff (Jackie) and Angela (Brian) as well as her beloved grandchildren Julia, Katrina, Ian, Evie, Joey, Teagan, Rowan, Quinn, and her great-granddaughter, Aubrey. She will be missed by her devoted sister, Jeanette, brothers-in-law Ron and Randy, and sisters-in-law Liz and Terry, as well as many nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins, far and wide.
She is predeceased by her husband, Bob, her parents, beloved sister Bertha and brother David, sisters-in-law Andrea and Jan and brothers-in-law, Ross, Mervin, and Lorne.
Marguerite’s legacy of unending love, kindness and gratitude shaped her family and will forever leave an impression on those lucky enough to have known her.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Support Group of Manitoba.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 28, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Adolphe Parish, followed by a reception at the Pioneer Hall.
The family asks you to take a moment today to tell someone you love them and show kindness to a stranger. If Mom's memory inspires more kindness in the world that is the legacy she would want.

Sincerest condolences to the Stefaniuk family on Marguerite’s passing. Late husband Bob was one of my favourite cousins growing up in Selkirk. We shared many good times. Marguerite was Bob’s right hand. May the good Lord comfort you during this most difficult time. - Posted by: Willy Cole (Cousin to Bob) on: Jun 22, 2024

My phone lit up and announced “Call from Marguerite Stefaniuk!” My heart raced with joy to hear her name! I answered the phone full of excitement & yet, a slight hesitation… “Marguerite ❤️🤗❤️❤️!!!! Hi!!!” At the other end I heard a shaking little voice saying, “This is Angela, Marguerite’s daughter”, I lost my breath. Thank you for your call Angela and for listening to your Mom’s still small voice. 🙏❤️ Marguerite, a woman of faith, full of such grace and beauty that she lit up the room. I admired her calmness and poise, her love for family and dedication to her husband. I once said to her, “When I grow up, I want to be just like you!” She giggled! Rest in peace my dear sweet friend! You have left a huge hole in the hearts of many. I love you Marguerite. Gail Deere. - Posted by: Gail Deere (Friends) on: Jun 22, 2024

I'm so very thankful for every interaction I was able to have with Marguerite. She loved BIG and intentionally. I had the honor of caring for her late husband, Bob in his final days and the relationship and connection her and I formed lasted for years afterwards. She would regularly message and send words of encouragement, love and prayer. I got the call, and listened to the voicemail from Angela that she had passed and it took my breath away, (Thank you so very much for that!). She will be missed dearly! Her legacy truly does live on in her family. Grateful & better for having known Marguerite! 💕 - Posted by: Ti'an Hildebrand (Friend) on: Jun 22, 2024
