Jean died peacefully in her sleep at Misericordia Place.
She is survived by sons Mike and Sam (Shelley), daughters Catherine and Teresa (Romeo), grandchildren Joseph (Katie), Keziah (Shaw), Rose, and Sarah (Jeremiah), her great-grandchildren Desiree, Milo, and Isaac, her brother James (Lydia), and her sister-in-law Mafalda.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Vic to whom she was married for 54 years.
Jean will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Misericordia Place who were all very kind and caring.
In lieu of flowers, donations could be sent to the Misericordia Health Centre Foundation, 99 Cornish Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, Canada R3C 1A2
A private service will be held for family only.

Hi... basil's daughter. I try to call your mom now and then. The last few times the line seemed like it wasn't working.. yesterday I called and the number was out of service. I googled her name. I am saddened as I always enjoyed talking with her especially once basil had passed away. Vic and Penny were part of my childhood. I loved eating with the family and car rides! My condolences to Sam, Mike, Catherine, Teresa and family. I now live in B.C. and used to work for Vic at Meritt Rubber a long time ago. I had the privilege to know and become friends with Vic and Penny. They made me feel like family and I remember their kindness and generosity.
